WHAT IS BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
Craniosacral Therapy has its origins in the field of osteopathy. It is a very therapeutic, deeply relaxing and powerful form of non-invasive, educated touch therapy that supports the subtle movement of tissues and fluids to orient to health and restore wellness in the body. It gently resolves chronic pain and trauma, increases vitality and provides powerful therapeutic states that can lead to clarity, insight, and enhanced emotional intelligence.
The body is tenderly guided to reorganize unresolved physical or emotional trauma and is offered the opportunity to access deeper states of relaxation to help calm an overstimulated nervous system.

WHAT DOES CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY HELP?
Craniosacral therapy can assist many health conditions due to its foundational aim to restore health in clients. Some conditions that are particularly responsive to craniosacral therapy are:
Headaches/ Migraines
Neck Pain
Back Pain
TMJ/ Jaw Tension
Head Trauma
Injuries
Physical and Emotional Trauma
Women’s health issues
Digestive disorders
Muscular Tissue Tension
Stress/Anxiety
Nervous system exhaustion
Low energy/ chronic fatigue
Emotional difficulties
PTSD
Depression

You don’t need to be suffering from a “condition” to receive craniosacral therapy. Some people come to craniosacral therapy because they want to improve their lives and invite a greater sense of health. Craniosacral therapy offers a unique and gentle approach to restore the body and find new senses of embodiment.

WHAT IS A SESSION LIKE?
The first craniosacral session lasts about 75 minutes and includes a health interview. We will discuss your health history and intentions for working together before moving to the table work.
The majority of the session is spent fully clothed on a massage table receiving light-touch holds. Clients generally lie on their backs, but can also lie on their sides or seated in a chair. It is important that clients feel comfortable so that they can fully relax and be present to the session.
Follow-up sessions are about an hour and include a shorter conversation before and after the tablework.

Just like the sky is not the weather, you are not your emotions. Emotions visit us. “Here is sadness”; “Here is anxiety”; “Here is depression”. Welcome the emotions in, get to know where they are visiting in your body. Learn to be ok being with what is arising in your body emotionally or physically, notice their sensations and qualities. Emotions will pass if we notice them and allow them. Sometimes they are intense and we need support. This is where Craniosacral & Somatic Experience helps.#cst #craniosacraltherapy #bcst #healing #somaticexperiencing #vagusnerve #vagus #cranio #craniosacral #SE #somatic #polyvagal #trauma ... Did you know your body has its very own in-built de-stressing mechanism? 😱It’s called the ✨ VAGUS NERVE ✨The vagus nerve is the most influential nerve in our parasympathetic nervous system, which oversees a vast array of crucial bodily functions, including control of mood, immune response, digestion, breathing and heart rate. It is the primary pathway that your gut and brain communicate through! When we stimulate the vagus nerve, it sends a message to our bodies that it’s time to relax, de-stress and go into repair and recover mode 🛌There are a number of different things we can do to stimulate our vagus nerve such as:✨ Singing🎤✨ Cold showers 💦✨ Yoga and exercise 🏃‍♀️✨ Deep breathing and meditate🧘‍♀️✨ Social connectedness 👭✨ Probiotic’s ✨ Laugh often 😂✨ Craniosacral Therapy 🛌✨ Somatic Experiencing #cst #craniosacraltherapy #bcst #healing #somaticexperiencing #vagusnerve #vagus #cranio #craniosacral #SE #somatic #polyvagal #trauma ... I am in such awe of this modality! We don't realize how much of our physical body holds from daily stress, experiences, accidents, trauma etc. Our bodies are amazing mechanisms that works as a unit and is always trying to orient itself back to health. Allow me to help your body remember and find the resource it needs to find its way back to balance, wholeness, wellbeing and health. #CST #craniosacraltherapy #BCST#biodynamic#anatomy #healing #cranio #craniosacral ...
